Omaha Event: Meet Santa at Hollywood Candy, 2 December

Bring the whole family to visit Santa at the North Pole from noon-4pm. Kids can share their wish lists with Santa (and take a picture with him too), enjoy crafts and activities in the Fairmont Dine, and sample housemade fudge. Omaha Event: Holiday Poinsettia Show Aglow, 2 December-3 January

Once again Lauritzen Gardens is making the holiday season merry and BRIGHT! The holiday poinsettia show and the Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory will be adorned and enhanced with light as the garden extends its hours to celebrate the beauty of the season. Note: Holiday hours may impact this event. Aglow hours are 5-8pm; admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, free to members and under 6.

Omaha Concert: Christmas at the Cathedral, 1 December

The Omaha Symphonic Chorus, in conjunction with the Omaha Symphony Chamber Orchestra and Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir, presents the 21st annual Christmas at the Cathedral. Guest conductor Jonathan Willcocks leads a performance of the “Magnificat” and other seasonal music. Concert starts at 8pm, with tickets starting at $20 for general admission and $30 for preferred seating.
