An Omaha native, Franklin has managed community and economic development programs for more than a decade. For the past five years, Franklin has served 75 North, initially hired as a Senior Project Manager, then promoted in early 2019 to Chief Operating Officer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Throughout her time with the organization, Cydney has proven her leadership abilities and savvy in working with our various development partners, residents, service providers, government entities, and community leaders,&#8221; said 75 North Board President Dana Washington. &#8220;Othello will leave some big shoes to fill. We have no doubt that Cydney is more than ready for the job.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Outgoing President &amp; CEO, Othello Meadows III, transitioned mid-July to pursue a career in philanthropy with New York based Blue Meridian Partners. Meadows and his family will remain in Omaha.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It will be an honor to lead 75 North through its next phases of development and community advancement,&#8221; said Franklin. &#8220;Othello has been a friend and mentor to me over the years. Though I am excited for his new opportunity, he will surely be missed. I&#8217;m eager to take what I&#8217;ve learned from him to advance this organization and its mission.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to her term at 75 North, Franklin worked as an economic and community development manager with the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. Franklin is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Corporate Communication and San Jose State University with a degree in Public Administration and Public Policy. She serves as a Board member for Omaha by Design and the City of Omaha&#8217;s Planning Board.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just in from our friends at 75 North..
