Omaha Event: SeptemberFest, 1-4 September

This Omaha event is a salute to labor, with rides, music, a parade, a car show, children’s activities, food, and more. You can park for free on the Gallup campus and take a shuttle to the festival. Hours are Friday, 5pm-midnight, Saturday through Monday, noon-midnight.

Omaha Event: La Festa Italiana, 1-3 September

This Omaha event is an annual celebration of all things Italian, with music, dance, and, of course, food! There are also children’s activities, cooking demos, and Friday and Saturday evening fireworks. Hours are Friday, 6pm to midnight; Saturday, 5pm to midnight; and Sunday noon to midnight. Admission: $7 for adults, 12 and under free.

Veterans in Business Forum, VIBF- Meeting 1 September-“Government Contracting: Is it For You?”

The next VIBF meeting is Friday, 1 September at 0800.

The guest speaker is Carlie Shafroth from PTAC. She will speak on “Government Contracting: Is it For You?”

This introductory training session is for any small business owner or entrepreneur considering working with the Federal Government. This workshop will give you the basics on how to do business with the federal government and tell you how and where to get started.

The location will be at UNO at Mammel Hall, Room 215.
