Omaha Concert: Handel’s “Messiah,” 19 November

Edward Hurd conducts the 200-member chorus of the Voices of Omaha in the 49th annual production of Handel’s “Messiah.” The oratio is one of the best-known works of choral literature, and the free performance, held from 3-5:30 pm, should be no less than compelling.

Omaha Concert: Johnny Boyd’s Cocktails with the Crooner, 16 November

With a fusion of torch, jazz, jump blues, swing, and pop, Johnny and his Genuine Gentlemen Band perform a mixture of originals and unique covers of classic songs. The concert for ages 21-plus runs from 8-11pm, with tickets at $10.

Omaha Event: Veterans Day Program & Lunch, 11 November

Veterans get free admission to the museum in honor of their service, as well as lunch, and are encouraged to come in uniform. The program features posting of the colors, a keynote speaker, and a panel of experts. The program runs from 11:30am-1pm, and non-veterans can attend for $12. Lunch is included for all attendees.
